NJACDA Summer Honor Choirs
DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Director must be a current member of NJACDA. If you need to renew your ACDA membership, please click here.

Elementary Choir Directors can submit 10 recommendations for the SSA ensemble.

6th-8th Grade Directors can submit 15 recommendations for the SSA/SATB ensemble.

HS Directors should submit no more than 15 balanced recommendations for the SATB ensemble in order for us to have a well-balanced ensemble (i.e. 60% SA, 40% TB)

Directors are expected to prepare their students for the event.

Directors are required to be tehre at check-out on both dates. You are required to send another ACDA member as a substitute if you cannot be present at the event.

Sponsoring directors who choose to attend the NJACDA Summer Conference that runs concurrently with this event can do so at a reduced rate.
STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Students should bring the following items to the event:

Signed Acceptance Letter​

Sheet music

Bagged Lunch

Students should wear comfortable all black attire on the second day for the performance.
FEES
-
There is a nominal participation fee of $35 per student. This will cover the music and administrative/production costs. This fee will be due after you receive confirmation of your accepted students.

Fill out the Director Google Form.

Fill out the Student Nomination Google Form.

Once students are accepted:
-
Send only one director's check made out to "NJACDA". Parent checks, purchase orders, or cash will not be accepted. ​

Write the name of your school and the name of the vent (NJACDA Summer Honors Choir) on the bottom left hand corenr of the check.

Checks should be mailed to the NJACDA Treasurer postmarked no later than June 6.

NOMINATING STUDENTS

Hand out and discuss the Student Nomination Letter with your students and their respective families.
-
After receiving confirmation of their participation, input your nominated students in the Student Nomination Google Form and collect their $35 participation fee.
