About our Guest Clinician
YOON SOO LIM
Yoon Soo Lim serves as Oaklawn-Tuttle Director of Vocal Music and Arts Department Chair at The Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, where she directs four vocal ensembles — Chamber Choir, Chorus, and the a cappella groups Hilltones and Hilltrebles — and teaches Music Theory and DJ & Music Production. She has led Hill singers to notable festivals and stages across the U.S., most recently Carnegie Hall.
Ms. Lim has taught for more than twenty-five years across colleges, independent schools, and community settings in the greater Philadelphia and South Jersey regions. Choirs under her direction — spanning youth, collegiate, community, and church singers — have performed with The Philadelphia Orchestra, The Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia, The Philadelphia Chamber Orchestra, and The Philly Pops on stages including the Academy of Music and the Kimmel Center.
After earning Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Temple University in piano performance, music history, and choral conducting, she pursued post-graduate conducting studies at Westminster Choir College and the University of St. Thomas, and holds certification in all four levels of Kodály methodology.
Ms. Lim is an active member of the American Choral Directors Association and the National Association for Music Education. A frequent guest conductor and clinician at regional festivals, she brings the same philosophy to every setting: find your breath, find your voice, find joy.
