Christa Rizzo

Christa Rizzo is the Vocal and General Music Teacher at West Essex Middle School in North

Caldwell, NJ. With over 18 years of experience in music education, she is passionate about

inspiring young musicians and fostering a love of performance and creativity in the classroom.

Her vocal and instrumental ensembles have earned recognition at festivals and competitions

across the region, including honors from NJMEA and NJACDA.

In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Mrs. Rizzo co-directs The Spotlight Knights, the

school’s musical theater club, and leads the after-school pop chorus, providing students with

enriching opportunities to grow as performers and collaborators.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from the University of Mary Washington, an

Master of Music in Music Education from the University of Florida, and NJ School Leader

certifications from Felician University.
